What to Expect

We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating, at City Park, we want you to feel welcome from start to finish. This guide below takes you through a normal morning for us at CPC from our service times to our bell ringing to the sermon and every other stop along the way.

Service Time

We invite you to join us on Sunday Mornings at 10:45 AM as we worship together! We hold in person services at our church building located at 236 W Banner Ave. Winston Salem, NC 27127 and online every week also.

Parking

Our parking lot is across the street from our church building (located at 236 W Banner Ave.) along Hollyrood St. You will see our parking sign as pictured here as well as a white sign on a gate that states ” City Park Church Parking.” Our Parking Team will help you find a space in the lot provided, or help you park in our overflow parking.

Greeters

As you enter the church, our Greeting Team will be there to welcome you and help you with any questions you have. They will give you a welcome bag to thank you for being a guest with us today! All are welcome here! All of our Greeting Team wear lanyards that say “How can I help?” and are here all through out the morning if you need anything, please feel free to ask.

Nursery

We have a fully staffed nursery for children birth through 5 years old that follow check-in safety and COVID safety guidelines in regards to checking temperatures of the children and workers, cleaning hands and more as outlined further here. We take the safety of our/your children seriously and love ministering to the littlest members of the church body!

Children’s Church

Children K5 through 5th grade are invited to join our Children’s Church service with our Children’s Ministry Leaders during the sermon. We invite the children to participate in worship with their parents and then dismiss prior to the sermon, to head down to Children’s Church.

Ring the Bell

We love honoring the tradition passed down from Memorial Reformed by having a family in the church ring the bell each Sunday morning prior to service 1 minute till start. So you aren’t hearing things when you hear bells ringing, you are hearing a time honored tradition of our church and community to let you know church is getting ready to begin.

Worship

Our service begins with worship through song. We believe in lifting our voices together in praise to our Savior and coporately worshiping as one body.

Prayer Time

A vital part of our service is our prayer time. Prayer is very important to us as a church body at CPC, from the very beginning, and we want to take time every service to pray for one another, the community, and praise the Lord for all He is doing!

Sermon

Following worship through prayer and song, Pastor Toby leads us in the reading and preaching of God’s Word. Together as a church body, Pastor Toby leads us through a book of the Bible at a time and takes us verse by verse weekly to dig deeper in the Word together and grow in knowledge from His Word.

We hope that you will join us for a Sunday Service soon and are here to anwser any specific questions you may have. Please feel free to email us at info@cityparkws.org for more information or with any questions!
