As our study of Titus draws to a close, I would like to share a preview of our next area of study. Our topics will be on relationships during the different seasons in our life and how the Lord will bring another man along side to assist us; or how He will use us in another man’s life to assist him with living a life dedicated to Jesus.
In this study series, we will also discuss how our adversary will send people whose aim is to cause us to stumble or “fall into” sin. The need for prayer and studying God’s Word is important for discernment in understanding the who, what, why, where, and how we can be used to make an impact.
Also, as a finishing touch we will look at several Christian missionaries who made a huge impact when they accepted Jesus’ call to go and spread the Gospel.
The characters we will study for this series are:
Jonathan and his armor bearer- courage under fire with a willingness to serve.
Ahab and Jehoshaphat- forming alliances- as Christians we need to be careful about who or what we ally ourselves with.
Paul and Silas- How to worship and sing praise to the Lord in any situation.
Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch- study and show yourself approved to that you may be ready in an instant to share the Gospel message of salvation.
Boaz- Living a life of intergrity and helping provide for those in need.
Balaam and Balak- a change of view does not change sin. God does not bless sin, even though it may seem there are no reprecussions for a season.
Hudson Taylor, William Carey, George Mueller, Francis Xacier and Brother Andrew- great missionary men and what their lives/stoaries can teach us today as we serve as missionaries in our communities.
We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating, at City Park, we want you to feel welcome from start to finish. This guide below takes you through a normal morning for us at CPC from our service times to our bell ringing to the sermon and every other stop along the way.
Sunday, April 25th following service we will have our New Members Class for anyone interested in joining the church. We will provide lunch for those staying for the class and their families. Please RSVP for the class by clicking the link here.
DNOW is a weekend-long event that will challenge and grow students in their relationship with the Lord. We will engage in worship together through prayer, reading/preaching of His Word, singing, and the Lord’s supper. After each session time, students will have a chance to share togeter in small groups. They will also have the opportunity to spend time together and have a lot of fun. DNOW is for students 6th-12th grade.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
DNOW 2021 COVID Policy
We understand that due to COVID, DNOW will look a little different this year than we plan for it to look in the future. Normally, DNOW will include host homes and staying overnight but, in every effort to be as conscious as we can, we are forgoing that piece of the weekend this year and will follow the policy as outlined below.
First and foremost, we ask that any student or leader exhibiting any COVID symptoms or if they have been in contact with anyone with COVID, please do not attend DNOW to best protect yourself and others.
Upon check-in Friday and Saturday, temperature checks will take place for students and leaders.
Masks are to be worn in all sessions, small groups, and activities. When in worship sessions, social distancing guidelines in regards to spaced seating will be followed, and masks can be removed, as will be in small groups and activities when possible.
Dinner is provided both days within the cost of the event and will be thought out on how to pre-prepare and serve in a way that is little to no-contact (pre-packaged/pre-pared and portioned items). Breakfast Saturday will be grab and go style, all pre-packed as well. Masks, of course, can be removed for eating. 😊
Hand-sanitizers are available all around campus.
Masks should be worn when in transit to and from lunch and activity Saturday as in vehicles, social distancing is not as easy to achieve.
We appreciate your help and look forward to a great weekend together!
